Historic St. Mary’s Mission in Stevensville, Montana is seeking help to celebrate the165th anniversary of the founding of Montana’s first permanent community.

In recognition of the 165th anniversary of Historic St. Mary’s Mission, Inc. the staff hopes to expand the museum displays concerning the Salish people and their culture as well as the Jesuit Missionaries who were instrumental in the development of the Mission.  Help is being sought from anyone who is willing to loan artifacts, photographs, documents, paintings, or any memorabilia associated with St. Mary’s Mission. The exhibit will be on display during the 2006 season that runs from April 17, 2006 through October 15, 2006.

The main celebration will be held in conjunction with Western Heritage Day on June 17th, 2006.  The deadline for receipt of items to be loaned for the exhibit is May 15, 2006.

Original photographs may be submitted by mail or scanned and emailed in jpg. format to the address below.  Please be sure to include your name and address and any history you may have of the photo as well as names/titles and date of the subject matter. We want to give you credit for helping with the celebration.  If you prefer we not use your name please let us know.
